Becki Newton

Becki was born living in Guilford, Connecticut. She began appearing in local shows and in the summer stock theatre at thirteen. As she studied European History at Penn, she also did several semesters in Europe. Becki moved to NYC right after her graduation to pursue a career on Broadway. Following her appearance in many commercials across the country and guest-starring characters, like Cold Case (2003), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), and American Dreams (2002), she was cast as Amanda in Ugly Betty (2006). She's married to actors Chris Diamantopoulos. Chris Diamantopoulos, and her brother is actor Matt Newton. They're beautiful, but not models of the highest caliber. The good thing is that I'm able to give it up to professionals at work and red-carpet events as I'm not sure I'm adept. However, I don't want to risk it when it comes to fashion. It can be fun to look glamorous! It's about preparing yourself for the day. not about being overly fussy. Self-care is more important.
